The Worst Traffic on The Net!!
Today I got a message from one of my friends on MyBlogLog Corey, who asked me about my opinion in an article posted by QuadsZilla, the article entitled "Facebook: The Worst Traffic on the Net."
I read the article, and guess what… I totally agree with QuadsZilla. I know that maybe you think that I am crazy… My blog is talking about how cool is facebook and how we can use facebook traffic to make money, in the other hand I am saying that I’m 100% agree on what QuadsZilla said in his article which is describing facebook traffic as the worst traffic on the net… you think that I am crazy,, don’t you?? 
No guys I am not crazy, and what QuadsZilla said in his article was totally right. Let me tell why: When you read his article you will find that he is saying the following, I quote:
"Not all traffic is created equal. Certain types of traffic is much more likely to convert to a sale than others. It’s all about catching the right surfer in the right mindset to make a purchase"
And then he said, I quote:
"The problem is that when people are on Facebook, they are not in the mindset to purchase anything. One session from an average Facebook ***** might produce 200 page views to various groups, widgets, photos and messages; but that suffer is just not interested in buying anything; their mind is elsewhere"
And he is right, people in facebook are not in the mood to buy anything they are in facebook to enjoy their time to browse through photos, videos, etc… they are there for dating for s#e#x for chatting and many other things, but not for making a purchase. if you send facebook traffic to a site when they are suppose to make a purchase, they are not going to do that. You won’t even be able to send them outside facebook through an Ad which promoting a product that they suppose to buy.
Yesterday, Gabriel Goldenberg from seoroi.com commented on my post "25 Steps to Make Money on Facebook" with a link to his post "Facebook Flyers to Die December 3 2007; My Campaign Data" I wasn’t surprised when I read the title, I knew that Facebook flyers are going to die, do you know why?? because facebook was killing it. I have already tried facebook flyers before and I read about a lot of people who tried it too, and everybody knows that whatever you write on your flyer within 24 - 72 hours facebook will either cancel your flyer or broke the link from the flyer to your site or in the worst case they will disable your account too. I don’t know why facebook doing that, but what I am sure about it that if you want to disable your account on facebook you only have to use facebook flyers, facebook market place, or facebook pages… in other words use any of the facebook marketing tools.
So the conclusion is, facebook users are not in the mood to buy and facebook team won’t allow you to sell or to do any marketing activities. Then what is the solution? how we can get benefits from that huge traffic??
I have tried several tactics with facebook users, some of them didn’t work because I was trying to sell something to facebook users, and the other didn’t work because I was using facebook marketing tools. Finally, I got the right answer to this complicated equation. To make success on facebook you have to give facebook users something they will like it, something they are in the mood for it PLUS that you must be so careful to not make facebook team mad of you, don’t let them know that you are trying to make money, the problem that they are better than you in this matter and after a while they will know that you are trying to make some money. Therefore, you have to prepare yourself for getting banned by facebook admin, which means that you should have some backup there.
I know that I will receive a lot of comments and e-mails telling me that I should post some details about my tactics. Guys my answer will be the same as I have said before: keep an eye on my blog and read my series 25 Steps to Make Money on Facebook and you will know how to do this.

i’ve read a lot about advertisers avoiding the official facebook tools, and there’s even a comment on quadszilla’s article that agrees with you that the money is to be made outside their domain.
the excitement is still building! i only wish my subscriber count was rising as fast as yours.
These are some interesting bits of information. I have messed off and on with Facebook for a while, but have never really gotten the jist of how to utilize it properly. I’m looking forward to the rest of your articles on how to monetize this type of activity.

Thanks for the link! Making money on Facebook is such an unique concept i just had to mention it on my blog.
I liked your post on 25 Steps to Make Money on Facebook. I’ve already filed a complaint that Facebook messed up by changing flyers to ads. Traffic is good if you just integrate with others but you still have to target to get people to your desired outcome.
It’s Ironic that Facebook is looking for ways to Make Money but they don’t like it if their Users try + do the same!!
Of course it’s Nice when U have Microsoft/POOP come by + Drop $240 Million Dollars on yer Lap for 1.6% of yer Co. - which then Values yer Co. at $15 Billion!!

Facebook is worth a Laff for Hanging out with Friendz + sending Drinks + Farts + Zombie Bites + Funny Videos but yer right Lara + Jordan unless U’ve got something U can Target specifically to them like SEX + BEER!!!

That is a very interesting point. I for one do not think that facebook is worth anywhere near 15 Billion dollars. The only real value in facebook is to a mega corporation who wants to pry into all the sensitive data. And Beacon is a joke.
